TsAGI–DLR workshop: a new round of promising cooperation
- Sergey Chernyshev (on the right), the Director General of TsAGI and member of the Russian Academy of Sciences welcomed the young specialists and wished them well.
- The young scientists presented over 20 papers concerning new process solutions and concepts in the field of aircraft aerodynamics and strength. Ivan Kondakov, a specialist of TsAGI’s Static and Thermal Strength, spoke about hybrid net composite structures used in an aircraft body.
- A paper by Waldemar Baier (DLR) “Recoverable space systems” received a lot of feedback and questions both from Russian and foreign specialists.
- A variety of speeches and creative presentation of what seemed to be well researched scientific issues became a distinguishing feature of the workshop and attracted a genuine interest among its members.
- Honoured scientists sharing their experience with the next generation. Teachers of MIPT: Aleskander Shanygin (on the left), the Head of TsAGI’s Advanced Aircraft Structures, Candidate of Science (Engineering), and Sergey Bosnyakov, the senior research associate, answering questions of young specialists.
- A group of young DLR scientists visited the TsAGI Museum, which exhibits reflect the history of the Russian aviation science center and aircraft equipment.
