TsAGI participates in discussions of cooperation between Russia and France in the field of aircraft engineering

At the end of October the Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI, a member of the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute”), participated in the XXVI Meeting of the Working Group on Aviation of the Russian-French Council on economic, financial, industrial and commercial matters (CEFIC). The event took place in Paris (France).
The Russian delegation was headed by the Director of the Department of aviation industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Ravil Khakimov. The French delegation was led by the Director of International Cooperation of the Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGAC) Bertrand de Lacombe. TsAGI represented the Head of the group for cooperation with European Countries Alexander Dvoynikov, Coordinator of the National contact point “Aeronautics.” Director of International Cooperation of the Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGAC)
TsAGI cooperation with the leading research centre ONERA was one of the issues discussed. The parties confirmed the need to hold an annual bilateral work-shop. TsAGI, together with the major players of the French aviation market SAFRAN and Airbus, reviewed the results of the existing framework projects and also outlined specific steps to develop bilateral cooperation. They discussed issues of TsAGI-Airbus and TsAGI-Safran Tech cooperation, and signed a cooperation agreement with Safran Tech.
At the meeting, the parties talked about research in the area of metrics created to regulate the level of acoustic impact. Currently, projects are carried out in the framework of the European project RUMBLE of which TsAGI is a member.
The Russian-French Council on economic, financial, industrial and commercial matters (CEFIC) is a key structure of the Russian-French Commission on bilateral cooperation at the level of Heads of Government. The Council meetings are held on a regular basis, alternately in Russia and France.
