The delegation of the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute” meets international partners at the Paris Air Show

Delegation of the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute” held a series of negotiations with the European and Asian counterparts on the first day of the 53rd International Paris Air Show at Le Bourget (France). The delegation was led by the Director General Andrey Dutov, and included the Deputy Director General in the coordination of international cooperation and interaction with international organizations of the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute” and Academician of the Russian Academy of Science Sergey Chernyshev and the Director General of the Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Science Kirill Sypalo.
The Air Show kicked off with the opening ceremony, which was attended by Andrey Dutov and Kirill Sypalo. Immediately after that, there was a meeting with the Director General of the Italian Aerospace Research Centre (CIRA) Massimo Cavaliere. The members discussed joint cooperation in the aircraft integrity, hybrid aircraft design, hybrid/electric aircraft, aeroacoustics. The parties agreed on the further elaboration in the issues of urban air mobility and remotely piloted aircraft systems in July of this year.
The rich program of the first day of the Air Show also included a meeting with the Head of Airbus Research and Technology Daniela Lohwasser. The delegation’s business program included the negotiation of Andrey Dutov, Director General of the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute”, with Hiroyuki Hatada, Head of the Russian-Japanese Working Group on Civil Aircraft Engineering, Director of the Aerospace and Defense Industry of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. The parties agreed on a short-term joint cooperation plan.
The Paris International Aerospace Salon (Paris Air Show) is one of the largest and most prestigious aerospace exhibitions in the world. The event is held every two years. The exhibition includes a variety of aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, aircraft and space engines, airport equipment, etc. This year’s event was held from June 17 to 21.
