The 8th European Conference on aviation “Aerodays
The Russian scientific organizations were presented by Director General of the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute” Andrey Dutov, Deputy Director General in the coordination of international cooperation and interaction with international organizations of the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute”, Chief Scientific Officer of the Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute and Academician of the Russian Academy of Science Sergey Chernyshev, as well as the Director General of CIAM M.V. Gordin and Director on International Cooperation of GosNIIAS Dmitry Saulskiy. The European participants of the events were members of the European Commission, European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA), European Aeronautics Science Network (EASN) and industry’s leading organizations, including DLR (Germany), ONERA, Dassault Aviation, Thales Avionics (France), CIRA (Italy).
The seminar’s key objective was the determination and formation of the cooperative priorities to be recommended to the European Commission within the framework of 9th EU framework programme “Horizon Europe”, which will start in 2021. The participants discussed the research areas of mutual interest for scientific-technological interaction between Russian and European partners in the aviation industry.
The seminar clarified the list of priority items: “Aircraft design reliability”, “Flow control”, “Multidiscipline optimization”, “Safety”, “Rotary-wing aircraft”, “High-speed transport”, “Avionics” and “Noise reduction”.
European Aeronautics Days “Aerodays” has been a milestone event in the field of aeronautical research and innovations in Europe for the last three decades. It has been regularly hold since 1991 and reflects the priorities and strategies of the EU Framework Programmes.
