TsAGI at AIRSHOW CHINA 2018
6 November 2018
The Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI, a member of the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute”) participated in AIRSHOW CHINA 2018 — the 12th International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition and International Airport equipment Exhibition. The event toke place from 6 to 11 November in Zhuhai (China).
It is a tradition for a TsAGI delegation to visit AIRSHOW CHINA, where it becomes acquainted with the Chinese aviation industry achievements and meets Chinese partners and colleagues from other countries. This year for the first time TsAGI participated in the exhibition part of the show. In the exposition of PJSC “UAC,” the Institute presented an integrated digital complex, that implements end-to-end process of modeling, development, manufacturing, aerodynamics testing of aircraft models and the processing of results. The system kernel is a basic domestic software platform. The implementation of such a complex will reduce by several times the design, manufacture and testing of aerodynamic models, as well as will integrate full-scale and digital testing.
TsAGI held delegation meetings and negotiations with more than 10 traditional partners of the Institute from major aeronautical China consortiums: AVIC, COMAC, CASC. They will discuss cooperation on ongoing and planned commercial contracts and joint research programs. The meeting is scheduled with the leadership of the Chinese aeronautical Academy of CAE (Chinese Aeronautical Establishment) on a long-term partnership and participation in research projects within the BRICS research initiative, Russian-China traditional conferencing, etc. Within the framework of the AIRSHOW CHINA it is planned to sign several agreements and memoranda on cooperation with, among others, the China Academy of aerospace aerodynamics.
AIRSHOW CHINA 2018 is the China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition and International Airport equipment Exhibition 2018 and the only international aerospace exhibition endorsed and actively supported by the Government of China. It has been held since 1996 in even-numbered years. The visitors will see civil and military aircraft, airfield engineering, space technology, ground equipment, missile and aircraft engines, missiles and aircraft armament, navigation and flight control systems, airport equipment, training systems, air defence systems, etc. The program includes strategic expositions of aerospace products, demonstration flights, platforms and seminars. Russia is a traditional participant of the Zhuhai Airshow.
