Specialists of the Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI, a member of the National Research Center "Zhukovsky Institute") took part in the International premier trade fair for the metalworking sector — EMO Hannover. The event took place September 2017 in Hannover, Germany.
“It is a networking exhibition which gives us an opportunity to expand the idea of modern machining facilities, actual production processes, mechanical processing of metal and composite materials, effective production tooling and cutting tool,” said Vladimir Vermel, Head of the Research Center of TsAGI’s Research and Manufacturing Complex. “This is an important topic for the Institute. The NC-machinery technique is the main process of aerodynamic model production in our Complex.”
TsAGI held a series of meetings and negotiations with foreign partners during the exhibition. Also, TsAGI negotiated with the Karnash Company (Germany) to transfer to TsAGI an innovative milling tool, which unites rough work and finishing processing of composite materials. In addition, the German company Wolf Grupe will produce for TsAGI’s Research and Manufacturing Complex cutters and drills in accordance with agreed specifications.
EMO is the world’s leading trade fair for metalworking. It presents products and services throughout all production areas, from machine tools and production systems for cutting and forming which form the heart of machining, precision tools, accessories and controller technology, to system elements and components for automated manufacturing. EMO was founded in 1975 by the European Association of Machine Tool Industries, (Cecimo). The exhibition is held in odd-numbered years alternately in Hannover, Milan and Paris.
