Aviation in quest and master-classes: TsAGI holds Knowledge Day

Knowledge Day was held the 2nd of September for the staff of the Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI, a member of the National Research Center "Zhukovsky Institute"). The event took place at the health complex “Saljut” in Volodarsky village in the Moscow region.
The event’s program was devoted to aero sciences. First-year pupils were presented books about N.E.Zhukovsky’s childhood, the founder of Russian aerodynamics. Also, students were shown cartoons about aircraft manufacturing then were given a demonstration of experiments in physical science, i.e., tests with magnetic fluid, sound and light. For the upcoming generation master classes were organized to assemble airplane models and an intellectual-searching quest. An aeromodelling display concluded the Day.
TsAGI organizes an annual Knowledge Day, guided by the principles of its social policy. It is the caring for the children of employees of the Institute and the development of the younger generation. Such events also serve as an important element in career guidance and draw attention to aviation among the youth.
