TsAGI at MAKS-2017: road-show, innovation cluster, international cooperation development

The MAKS-2017 delegation from TsAGI (a member of the National Research Center “Institute named after N.E.Zhukovsky”) headed by Director General Sergey Chernyshev took part in the road-show “Zhukovsky: Opportunities for investment and innovation,” signed the Agreement on the establishment of an aviation technology cluster, and held a number of meetings with representatives of Asia and Europe.

Institute authorities held negotiations with their colleagues from India, China and Japan. The subject of the dialogue with representatives of the Japanese corporation “Toray Industries” became the issues of cooperation in the field of advanced materials.

TsAGI also met with the delegation of the Embassy of France. The parties considered possible directions of scientific cooperation with French organizations, which activities were coordinated within the EU chemical Industry Council — CEFIC.

The Institute was one of the participants of the road-show “Zhukovsky: Opportunities for investment and innovation,” which is part of a series of events to attract finance and establish a new industrial and technological platform on the territory of Science City. Also, the Russian Centre of aviation Science gave a presentation on the Technology Park. The science laboratory supervised by Doctor of physical and mathematical sciences Vladimir Sabelnikov was opened at the Technopark.

An agreement on the establishment of an aviation technology cluster within the consortium of innovative clusters of the Moscow region was signed by several entities: TsAGI, the Research and Development Establishment of Aeronautical equipment, Research and Engineering Company, the Myasischev Design Bureau, the Flight Research Institute named after M.M. Gromov, and the Center for Scientific and Technical Services “Dinamika.” The priority scientific and technological areas of activity of this cluster is the development of aviation, light and ultralight aircraft, remotely piloted air systems, aircraft flight simulators and simulation, new materials and technologies, research and space equipment.
