TsAGI Organizes Special Section at Science of Future, 2nd International Science Conference

In late September the Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute named after professor N.E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI, part of the National Research Center ‘Institute named after N.E.Zhukovsky‘) took part in Science of Future, 2nd International Science Conference in Kazan.
The program of the event also included a special section organized by TsAGI — “Development of International Research Interaction in the Sphere of Research and Development in Priority Areas of Science and Technology.” Valery Sukhanov, TsAGI’s First Deputy Director General, gave a presentation entitled “Capabilities for Interaction of Russian Scholars in International Programs: TsAGI as Integrator of Cooperation of Research Groups.” In his report he talked about the state support of international cooperation in the sphere of aeronautics, provided to the Institute and other enterprises in the field.
Additionally, the report addressed the topic of interaction with European countries in the sphere of aviation. The Aeronautics National Contact Point office, opened recently in Brussels under the auspices of TsAGI, which will become a venue for effective coordination of international projects.
Another discussion topic was the activities of Russian organizations in international programs. TsAGI serves as an active link in this process. Valery Sukhanov talked in detail about the EU framework programs being implemented with participation of the Institute. Stressing the importance of joint educational events with partners, he said: “Science seminars, such as TsAGI-DLR and TsAGI-ONERA take place annually and play an important role in long-term consolidation of large aviation centers. As we exchange research results and work on science experiments on topics of common interests, we stimulate development of new ideas and promotion of advanced technologies.”
The Science of the Future International Science Conference is one of the most important events organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The program of the conference covers a broad range of topics, from mathematics to mechanics, from IT and computing systems to machine building and the power industry, agricultural, biological and food technologies, and much more.
