Director General of Central AeroHydrodynamics Institute tells reporters about testing full-scale construction elements of МС-21 aircraft

On September 24 the Russia 24 TV channel will show the Aviaprom (Aviation Industry) program, which was shot in the Professor Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamics Institute (TsAGI, which is a part of the Scientific Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute”).

Aviaprom is an information and analytical digest about the state of affairs and development of the contemporary Russian aviation industry and air transport, designs and projects, as well as manufacturing civil and fighting aircraft, new scientific offers and inventions.

This time the МС-21 aircraft’s fuselage and wing torsion box static testing in the Central AeroHydrodynamics Institute became the subject of the program. Sergey Chernyshev, Director General of the Institute, took part in the shooting. He told the reporters about the work carried out by the experts from the Russian aviation scientific center. “According to the testing results we’ll come to the conclusion as to the possibility as to when we start flight testing the МС-21 aircraft. These conclusions will be very important for the industry as a whole. We share a common goal and are committed to the future of the project. We are trying to do everything we can for it to be brought into life successfully,” Chernyshev concluded.

Research of the МС-21 in TsAGI attracted the attention of other channels as well. Reporters from REN TV, Life News, 360° Podmoskovye (Moscow suburbs), and the channel of the Federation Council VMESTE – RF (Together – Russian Federation) also visited the static testing laboratory of the Institute and prepared news pieces about the work in process.
