On September 15 Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov visited the Professor Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamics Institute (TsAGI, which is a part of the Scientific Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute”).
The Head of the Region inspected the static testing laboratory where the МС-21 aircraft’s fuselage and wing torsion box are researched at present. Sergey Chernyshev, Director General of the Central AeroHydrodynamics Institute told the Governor about the process of work and emphasized its significance for the domestic aviation industry.
Andrey Vorobyov’s visit was a unique opportunity for the employees of the Institute, which is one of the leading enterprises in the Moscow suburbs, to put questions directly to the Governor. The issues which were touched upon included providing recent graduates with residential housing, transport infrastructure of the new international airport in Zhukovsky, solutions to ecological problems in the city, etc.
“The Governor visited our Institute for only the third time,” Sergey Chernyshev said. “These visits always take place in the format of open dialogue about the problems of interest to us and their solutions. TsAGI is a large institute, with numerous personnel and powerful scientific potential. Because of that support by the Moscow Region Government, which we are getting both in our main activities and in social spheres, this is very important for the Institute.”
