TsAGI at MetrolExpo-2016
20 May 2016
TsAGI for the first time demonstrated at the exhibition its measuring systems, complexes and precision equipment for experimental research and testing of promising products of aviation, aerospace and other industries, as well as the strain-gage balances and test benches, which are used to determine mass-inertial characteristics of the products.
Within the frameworks of MetrolExpo-2016 the First All-Russian Congress of Metrologists and Instrument Engineers was organized, which is aimed at creating an international communication platform and the promotion of cooperation in the Russian measurement system. The specialists of the Institute presented two reports. The scientists discussed current issues, such as the special standards of air flow rate and metrological support for devices measuring weight, center of mass and moments of inertia of aviation and aerospace products.
TsAGI also took part in the All-Russian Exhibition-Competitive Program “For measuring unity.” Based on its results, the Institute received a “Certificate on assigning the quality status.” The air flow rate standard developed in TsAGI was highly appraised, and it is widely used by regional metrological centers in Russia and CIS countries. The document was handed over at the closing ceremony of the 12th Moscow Innovative Forum and Exhibition “Precision Measurement — The Basis of Quality and Safety.”
Vasily Petronevich, the Chief of Measuring Equipment and Metrology Department and the Chief Metrologist of TsAGI, shared his impressions of the exhibition: “Participation in MetrolExpo opens great prospects for us — it is business cooperation, establishment of commercial relationships and enrichment of our knowledge base. We successfully demonstrated our potential, found out how Russian and international experts in the field of metrology and measuring devices work. I can easily say that TsAGI is at the forefront in these areas.”
