TsAGI Participates in the Third Congress of Russia Aircraft Producers

On 14–15 April, the management of the Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI) took part at the Third Congress of Russia Aircraft Producers. The program included round tables and plenary meetings

The General Director of TsAGI and Member of the Organizational Committee of the Congress, Sergey Chernyshev spoke at the round table, “Aircraft Industry Strategy 2030: the Unity of Goals and Actions for the State, Industry and Science” with a speech entitled “Aviation Science as a Factor of Ensuring Aircraft Competitiveness.” “We have to take a close look at past experience, analyze the mistakes and, based on the scientific achievements and new technologies, build real forecasts in the interests of development of the domestic aviation industry,” emphasized Dr. Chernyshev.

The Scientific-Technical Information Center of TsAGI became a platform for round table meetings of the Congress. One of them was devoted to discussing the regulatory and legislative basis for the development, production and operation of unmanned aircraft systems, in particular — the national technology initiative AeroNet. Speeches were presented by representatives of the Aircraft Expertise and Certification Center of TsAGI. The Director of the Aircraft Expertise and Certification Center Vladimir Shibalev and the Chief of Department Valeriy Matveev shared their opinions about the development of regulatory documents and the formation of the nmanned aircraft certification center. In the framework of the second round table, the procedure of licensing and certification of business in the field of aviation was discussed.

The final resolution will be adopted on the results of the Congress.
