TsAGI Promotes Expansion of the Cooperation of Russia and European Union

On 12 April, the Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI), with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, held the workshop “Scientific and Technology Cooperation of Russia and European Union in the Field of Aeronautics.” The event was organized for the leading Russia higher education institutions in the field of aviation and focused on expansion of domestic research and organizations in the European scientific and technology programs. The experts from the European Union Representative Office in Russia, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Analytic Center of International Scientific-Technologic and Educational Programs participated in the workshop.
TsAGI appeared at the event as the national contact point (NCP) “Aeronautics” assigned to the Institute since 2004. The purpose of its work is to provide information and consulting support to Russian researchers and organizations in relation to participation in the framework programs of the European Union, and scientific and technology programs associated with them in the field of aeronautics.
The central topic of discussion at the event was the development of the cooperation of Russia and the European Union in the framework of the programs Horizon-2020 and Clean Sky 2. General Director of TsAGI Sergey Chernishev spoke about the activity of the NCT: “We are proud that our work as the National Contact Point is viewed as active and elicits a positive response from our foreign partners. Today we have provided an effective communication platform for the exchange of experience in cooperation with our European partners, which will be useful to higher education institutions oriented to training aviation industry specialists.”
